June 1st Drop-In Class Review

The June 1st class was well attended with 10 teams present.  All teams attending had a great time and did quite well.  To allow all teams enough training time, we split the class into two separate sessions, 4-6 and 6:30-8:30PM, this gave everyone plenty of training time.  The weather during the day was cold and drizzly but the evening turned out to be beautiful and perfect for dock diving!

We had several 1st time attendees at class; Joe with Gonzo the Standard Poodle, Tracey with Eli the Barbet, Amanda with Herschel the Pit Bull, Lauren with Ace the Brittany Spaniel, and Catherine with Erik and Wendy the Labradors.  It was great to have Connie return to class after a year off with her new German Shorthaired Pointer, Jethro.

This season’s returning teams of Debbie with her Weimaraner Ruby, Dottie and Nikki with their German Sheppard Penny, and Whitney with her Black German Sheppard pup Elvis spent the evening successfully sharpening their skills as handlers.

It was a pleasure to work with each team.  In our seven years of dock diving instruction, we have never had a class with so many different breeds of canines.  It proves that dock diving is not just for retrievers!

Great work everyone and we look forward to seeing you all this weekend at the Cross Creek Farm hosted NADD/AKC sanctioned dock diving event, where your dog can receive an AKC title! If you haven’t registered already, there is still time. Go to our EVENTS page for a link to register!
